How to return a part
- Open your order under Account → Orders and choose Returns (or Withdraw from contract if you bought as a private person).
- Pick the part and the reason, and answer the short questions about its condition.
- Print the free return label from your return page and stick it on the parcel. Hand the parcel over within 14 days.
- The seller scans the part's Partsyol label when it arrives and confirms it. You get your refund within 3 business days.
You can follow every step on your return page: when the label was made, when the parcel left, when it arrived and when your refund was paid.
You changed your mind
You don't need a reason. Within 15 days from the day after delivery (30 days for verified garages) you can return a part you no longer need, for free — whether you bought as a private person or as a business.
The part must come back as you received it: not installed, not taken apart, complete, and packed well enough to travel.
Faulty, wrong or not as described
A faulty part, a different part than the one you ordered, or a part that does not match its listing or its fitment information is always free to return. The exclusions below do not apply.
After the first 15 days you can still report a faulty part under your legal guarantee; the seller then answers your claim before the return is arranged.
When a free change-of-mind return does not apply
- The part was installed in a vehicle.
- The part was taken apart.
- Oil, coolant or other fluids were not drained.
- An electronic part (for example an engine or body control unit) no longer has its tamper-evident seal intact.
- You chose the part with your own vehicle details and those details were wrong.
In these cases the return label is not free and you carry any loss caused by the change in the part's condition (for example fitting marks, missing fluids or a broken seal): the seller may reduce your refund by that loss, up to the part's full price. If you bought as a private person you keep your legal right of withdrawal. None of this applies when the part did not work in the first place — a faulty part is always free to return with a full refund.
Your refund
We refund you within 3 business days after the seller confirms it received the part, or after the carrier confirms delivery back to the seller — whichever comes first. The money goes back the way you paid.
You get back the price of the part. If you bought as a private person and send back everything that came in one parcel, we also refund the standard delivery cost. There is no hidden fee that we keep.
If sending a part back would cost more than it is worth, the seller or Partsyol may refund you and let you keep the part.
Your right of withdrawal (private buyers in the EU)
If you bought as a private person you can withdraw from the contract. On your order page, choose Withdraw from contract, pick the parts (or the whole order) and confirm. We show you a confirmation straight away and also send it to you as a message, with the date and time of your withdrawal.
Our 15-day free return is at least as generous as the legal withdrawal period of 14 days from receipt, so one return covers both.
Garages and other businesses
Businesses have no legal right of withdrawal, but on Partsyol they get the same free return for any reason: 15 days, or 30 days for verified garages (a garage account whose VAT number we have verified).
When one of the exclusions above applies, a business can return the part only if the seller agrees. For a business the delivery cost is not refunded on a change-of-mind return.
How returns are checked
Every part a seller sends carries its own Partsyol QR label, and sellers photograph the part when they pack it. When the part comes back, the seller scans the label; we match it to your order and put the dispatch photos next to the part that came back.
Accounts that return parts unusually often without a reason may be reviewed.
Damaged in transit or never arrived
If the parcel arrives damaged, refuse it or note the damage with the courier, take photos of the box and the part, and open a return with the reason Damaged in transit within 15 days. The return label is free and Partsyol handles the claim with the carrier.
If a parcel never arrives, open a return with the reason Never arrived within 30 days of dispatch.
If the seller disputes a return
A seller can dispute a return only with evidence — for example a different part came back, the label is missing, or the part was installed. Partsyol then looks at the evidence from both sides and decides within 10 business days. Your refund waits until the decision.
